VERA EARL RANCH
The Vera Earl Ranch is nestled in the Sonoita Valley and spans from the Santa Rita Mountains in the west, east to the San Pedro River, and beyond into the Willcox Valley. The ranch has grown in acreage by acquiring land leases and entering into partnerships with other ranches, now managed by Vera Earl. Family-owned and operated since 1968, each part of the ranch is managed by sustainable grazing and ranching with the goal of enhancing the entire ecosystem.
THE CATTLE
WE RAISE EFFICIENT, HIGH-MARBLING CATTLE
We strive to raise efficient, high-marbling cattle that not only thrive on our Arizona ranches, but provide the best tasting beef. On the Vera Earl and 4 Spear Ranch, we raise Black Baldies which are the product of Hereford cows and Black Angus bulls. These replacement heifers move to the Empire Ranch and are bred to either Charolais or Black Angus bulls.
FOUNDED BY OUR GRANDFATHER BURTON BECK
VERA EARL HISTORY
The original Vera Earl Ranch was founded by our grandfather Burton Beck in 1968. It was run, and still is, as a cow calf operation comprised of rolling grasslands and mountains. In 1977 Burton Beck unfortunately passed away and the ranch continued to be run by his wife Bettie Ann until her passing in 2000. Mrs. Beck continued her husband’s dream remaining on the ranch and continued to run the ranch as a cow calf operation and furthered his quarter horse operation.

Vera Earl Ranch Premium Beef is raised, fed, and compassionately cared for on one of our ranches. Our mission at Vera Earl Premium Beef is to provide our customers with quality home raised beef. Born, cared for, and cultivated on the vast acreage of the Vera Earl Ranch, our cattle are humanely treated, fed locally-sourced grains and hay, and are antibiotic and hormone free.

At Vera Earl Ranch, we are proud to care for the ecosystems, grasslands, and riparian areas that provide food and water not only to our cows, but to all wildlife roaming through them. Our intent is to leave the terrain we utilize for our operations in better shape than the prior year. Consistently and extensively monitoring our grasslands ensures grass vigor, plant diversity and effective use of the grasses.
